My smith just called me and told me my trigger job is done on my encore. The pring he put in dropped it to 1.5#. Do you guys think this will be to light to hunt with? He had to order the springs so there is no others.

What was the pull before he changed the spring? I am thinking of doing mine. I am thinking like 3 pounds for mine. 1.5 would be a little to light for me,b ut that's just me. Try and see how you like it.

#1.5 pound is in my opinion a target trigger, but can lead into problems when you have gloves on hunting... Although since he is willing to put it back the way it was, you're not really out anything.

I did not know you could do a triiger job on the Encore with a spring. The way my smith explained the job to me is that it is a stoning job. What spring are you talking about? EABCO does trigger jobs on Encore's. No replacementspring in his description, just a tensionig. Am I missing something? A spring alone would not take out the travel, would it? Nor would it change the pull without stoning the sear? I thought the spring had an adjustment? However I like keeping mine around 3 pounds for hunting. Tom.

Just got back from the smith. It is indeed light, I dont think to light however and still very crisp......But I think it will work very well. I plan on shooting it in a couple of hours. If I dont like it he said he will put it back to normal.
