The Platinums were degined-intended for magnum powder users - for those hunting larger game than deer. For 100 gr powder loads for deer or smaller, the regular Powerbelt ATs in 348 & 405HPs do real well (most-all cases). That new skirt on the Platinum is there to accomodate bullet speed and heat - when using magnum loads like 777.

If for instance at 100 grains, you are getting excellent groups with the old Powerbelts & not the new Platinum skirt, you can swap either-or skirt to either bullet. If you like the old skirt & want the Platinum bullet, it can be swapped around. You can also contact Powerbeltbullets.com by email or phone & inquire about purchasing bulk packs of skirts for either set-up. I would be interested to know their response to that. If you do contact them, please either send me a personal message with a copy & paste of what they said - or please post it here in public.... perhaps right here inside this thread.
