shooting saboted rounds

While I may not slobber on them, I do wet the sabot as well using my mouth. By the time the sabot is pushed down to the powder I would guess the slobber has been thinly spread in the barrel and causes little or no danger to accuracy but does seem to assist in the loading. Maybe its all in the mind, but I do it all the time.

If I slobber on my saboted bullet a bit before loading it for lubcrication purposes will that have any negative affects?

I don't like using spit because of our body's natural human salt content - that when used enough, could create added corrosion/rust if not attended to afterwards. That's just me thou.... my opinion.
