Best scopes on the market for the $$$ are Nikon Prostaff 2-7 x 32 ($130) or Nikon Prostaff 3-9 x 40 ($150).. those are standard prices.. you can find them cheaper a few places on the internet though.

I have the 3-9 x 40 on myOmega and couldn't be happier with it.

I've got the prostaff 3-9X40 on my traditions pursuit pro and I love it. Great scope for the money. I got it on ebay for like $109 i think.

I've got a Bushnell Banner 3-9x50 on my Knight and a Bushnell Banner 1.75-4x32 with circle-X reticle on my son's Knight. Happy with both. I found best pricing at opticsplanet.com. No tax/Free shipping.

Simmons 1.5-5X32 Pro-Diamond shotgun scope around $139 depending on source. Very clear scope and has the diamond around the crosshair. Makes pickup of the crosshairs fast and also works like a "sort of" range finder. I have one in camo on my Omega and just ordered and put a blue one on my Huntsman.

For the money you want to spend, get the Nikon Pro Staff. Also the Sightron S1 is a good scope. If you want rings, bases and scopes for that money, get a Bushnell Banner Dusk to Dawn 3-9x40 a set of Warne QD Rings and some B-Square bases. All of that should come in your budget. You can then take the scope off after shooting, scrub it nice and clean, and have the iron sights for other hunting requirements.

I rate them in this order. What keeps the Sightron "standing-out" above the rest is the combination of eye relief, scope back& forth sliding room between the turret and no refocusing of the eye pieceneeded when switching from 3-power to 9-power. Your picture stays clear.

Sightron SI
Nikon Prostaff
Bushnell Trophy
Millet Buck Gold

All can be purchased for a real good price right here.
