T/C OMEGA PROBLEMS
#11
I personally do not have this problem with my omega .50 cal. 2 50grn pellets and 250 shockwave and no kidding could shoot all day long and it would,nt seat any harder than the first. No kidding, shooting winchester primers, pyrodex pellets and t/c shockwaves

It's supposed to have a bore that requires grunts to load sabotsand Crud Rings attached.

Every now and then someone with an Omega makes the same claim. Apparently some were off a different line that had larger cutters. Mine slugs exactly .500 after I ran 200 passes with JB bore paste. It still hates Tripple Seven. I have not tried Pyrodex for a long time. I might be able to get a second bullet seated with Pyrodex and the Harvester sabots now. I also have to be sure the bullets are .451 not .452.

I know he uses triple 7 powder not pellets and tried the new Winchester triple 7 209 primers and I dont know what bullet or sabot and still had a relatively hard time with the 2nd load. I think he is going to order and try some sabots that measure like .506 or something? Anymore help would be appreciated/ running out of time and stepdad running out of patience!!!

The typical Omega bore accepts .5035 conicals nicely. If yours accepts .506, you have a freak that was either made first thing on Monday - or the last minutes on Friday evening.
