Got my new Apex :)
#1
Just got my new .45 caliber Winchester Apex the other day. She's a bute. I got the all camo with barrel, stock, and even sling swivels done in mossy oak.It comes with the quake sling which is a 20.00 value by itself. This makes three of them I have and they are great slings. I even used one as a drag last muzzleloading season(forgot rope). Cabelas had the Apex on sale for 249.00. I had a twenty dollar coupon so I got it for 229.00 plus shipping. Cant wait to get out and shoot her. They have them from 179.00 to 249.00. You cant beat that. Check them out at this link:

Nice looking set-up there.
Now some news you may not want to hear. -- Sorry!
Why didn't you consider the 50-cal? That caliber allows you to shoot EVERY bullet the 45-cal does. In doing so, the 50-cal is less finicky with powder charges - less finicky finding the proper grain sized bullet. Plus... when you go accessories-shopping, most aisles are filled with 50-cal merchandise.
The 45-cal promotes more speed... but that's the only advantage it has. With 50-cals, finding 10 different bullets to shoot well is generally not a problem. With 45-cals, finding only 2-3 bullets to shoot well is the norm.
Even thou you may have cleaned the bore already, you can still exchange that gun for a 50-cal.
I would!
Just my opinion.

Got lots of 50 cal. rifles and a .54so Ineeded a .45.I think they may have had them in .45 only and at that price, Icouldnt pass it up.Everyone needs an assortment of rifles in their cabinets. Really I just bought it for the free quake sling. Now I have 3 of them.
LOL!!!!Going to build up a long range load with this one. I went to get some APP from my dealer and they were out. They told me they had sold the heck out of the new Shockey's Gold APP. May try it if I find some. I may try some triple 7 also in pellet and loose.

I got a Beartooth Magnum in 45cal. I like mine it
is easy to handle in the deer stand, and will pretty
much shoot whatever I stuff down the barell. And
it is really accurate. I shoot the 195gr. powerbelt
aero-tip mostly over 100gr. of pyro or 777. My buddy
killed a nice 8 point buck with it, he wanted to use
it cause he hunts powerline cuts, needed something
really flat shooting. Congrats; hope you like it.
