OK. Safety is always first with any firearm. One of the things that is persuading me to stay with American made is where the money goes after the purchase. I am in the auto industry and have never preached buy domestic but, people need to realize where there money goes after a purchase of any item. Our economy is strong enough for the rest of the world to feed off of. When we lose jobs from importing, how long will it take before everything is imported and there is nobody working here to afford these items? Anyways,I am leaning towards an encore, the quality is there, tested and true. By the waymost domestic vehicles are very comparible to imported ones. Thanks for that link sabotloader, lots of good on the spanish made.

Newmuzzleman,
When I decided to get into BP I also did a lot of research, so I applaud your effort, but dont forget about one of the most important parts of your equation. You need to be happy with the weapon also.
Before you buy, go to a dealer with a good variety of different MLs in stock and actually hold them, sight down them like you were hunting (in a safe direction of course), hold it for a few mins like you would if you were carrying it.
I had gone in to buy an Encore, my mind was made up. Just for grins I looked at 5 different Manufacturer's weapons, probably 12 or 13 different models. I ended up buying an Omega, it just felt that much better to me. I am sure others have the same opinion about TC Encores, Knight's Disc, CVA Staghorn, etc.
The one thing I think that sets TC apart from many of the others is the LIFETIME warrenty, others may have it, TC I know backs it up. That is not to say the others do not, but there are folks here that have bought used weapons and contacted TC with a problem and they got serviced just like they were the original owner.

Thanks Omegalover. I did go to Bass Pro and looked at a few guns. They did not have any encores there. My neighbor has an encore that I have shot. Thanks for the tip. I will let everyone know when I make my decision too. Later.
