Looking over cuyugad's list if you choose to use T7, I might suggest the use of T7-fffg (3f). It is easier to ignite and it is so fine it will migrate out under the nipple with a little tapping. I have used it in both of my 54's and in the cold dead winter it has functioned my reliably than 2f.
If you choose Black Mag 3 it is already 3f, but it is hard to find in some places.
Good luck...

Sabotloader.. I've never had the chance to shoot the Triple Se7en 3f. All I shoot is the 2f. Since there is little pressure difference between the two powders, what in your opinion makes it a better powder? Does it seem to burn cleaner and leave less crud ring?
When I had my relatives make a powder run to Cabela's I asked them to get me a pound of that and they said they looked on all the shelves and never saw it. Of course they never asked anyone because that would have take some brains, but they did get me the other powders I wanted and another 1000 #11 caps.

My inclination is to tell you it does burn cleaner but I have no way to really prove it... I think it burns cleaner because it burns more completely. This past weekend or when ever it was I did load and shoot 8 shots from the Renegade without patching - 6-7 & 8 did get progressivley more difficult to seat.
Well, i am way over stocked on T7, both 2f and 3f (thanks to walmart) wish i could send you a jug of 3f because I would really like you to shoot some of it, but don't suppose I can leagally send in any type of shipping system.
The real main reason that i went to the 3f is for cold weather shooting in a sidelock & in your neck of the woods you know what I mean about cold weather. During our ML season in December hunting in below zero weather is not uncommon + during ML season I switch from an inline to a sidelock. In previous years using 2f I did not always get the ignition i wanted no matter which cap I used #11 mag, 1075 plus, or Musket. I figured out the problem though - I was not always getting the 2f out under the nipple and in that cold Iwas losing a lot heat from the cap in the flash channel. Using 3f there is no problem getting the powder out under the nipple - it flows out there pretty freely if you do not drop it to fast and tap the side of the gun. Since switching to 3f no cold weather problems and a whole lot more confidence...
