My inclination is to tell you it does burn cleaner but I have no way to really prove it... I think it burns cleaner because it burns more completely. This past weekend or when ever it was I did load and shoot 8 shots from the Renegade without patching - 6-7 & 8 did get progressivley more difficult to seat.
Well, i am way over stocked on T7, both 2f and 3f (thanks to walmart) wish i could send you a jug of 3f because I would really like you to shoot some of it, but don't suppose I can leagally send in any type of shipping system.
The real main reason that i went to the 3f is for cold weather shooting in a sidelock & in your neck of the woods you know what I mean about cold weather. During our ML season in December hunting in below zero weather is not uncommon + during ML season I switch from an inline to a sidelock. In previous years using 2f I did not always get the ignition i wanted no matter which cap I used #11 mag, 1075 plus, or Musket. I figured out the problem though - I was not always getting the 2f out under the nipple and in that cold Iwas losing a lot heat from the cap in the flash channel. Using 3f there is no problem getting the powder out under the nipple - it flows out there pretty freely if you do not drop it to fast and tap the side of the gun. Since switching to 3f no cold weather problems and a whole lot more confidence...
