Default ML shotgun

Guys, or at least the ones who posted all those pics of large quanties of ML's in the show off your pics post. I have been thinking of geting a ML shotgun, Do any of you have a brand that you could recomend. So far I have only seen a few but would like to not spend 400 bucks on my first one. Any suggestions on a cheaper brand. Would like to also stay with an inline but I know that might battle out the lower price? Just curious on your guys suggestions. Thanks to all.

If you do not mind a modern inline type, watch some of the auction sites and keep your eye out for a White Tominator or a Knight TK2000 both of them are an excellent inline shotgun able to bust turkeys at 40 yards. If you want a more traditonal style then you have to look for an old smoothbore musket or find a T/C Renegade .54 caliber and get a .62 caliber smoothbore barrel for it...

gunbroker.com http://www.gunbroker.com and auction arms.com http://www.auctionarms.com are two of them where I have seen them listed.

I just bought a T/C new englander 12 gauge with chokes. Way under your 400 dollar limit.

Got my TK2000 at Gunbroker for 190 with shipping brand new in box from a guy who won it at anNWTF banquet. Brand new they are 400, so keep an eye out they are out there. Incedently, it can group past 40yds and packs a whallop. Just haven't had the pleasure of meeting any birds yet with it.

ML Shotgun for under $400? Tough call for a traditional and even an inline shotgun will be between 300-400.

I would also suggest a T/C New Englander. If youcan find shotgun version great or you can typically pick the rifle up used for 100-150 in nice shape and the ala-carte the barrel from fox ridge outfitters (T/C Custom shop). They sell the IC barrel for $175. Or you can surf Ebay for a NE shotgun barrel or perhapsthe lock and stock then buy the barrel.

http://www.foxridgeoutfitters.com/index.cfm

or,
CVA now has a Optima shotgun version, or you could snag up a used Optima rifle and ala-carte the shotgun barrel.
www.cva.com

The Knight TK2000 and White Tominator are excellent inline shotguns. But you will need to search for used as new they will be over $400.

Good luck!
