I bought a boyds laminate thumbhole stock for my encore 209x50,The recoil pad seemsto soft and easy to compress, Any thoughtson this? I am open to suggestions on leaving it alone or replacing it with an aftermarket pad. I have plenty of time since i just started smoothing down the stock and forearm. thanks in advance for the input

I have a Boyds Thumbhole on a White Whitetail. The recoil pad works just fine for me. If it don't work for ya by all means change it.
