Your post with the picture of the brass cleaning jag made me smile. I have a cardboard target around here somewhere with hole in it that is an exact sihouette of that jag. Long story, but no one got hurt . . . [8D]

I bet it is a good one... sounds like someone lost a jag and decided to shoot it out rather then pull it.. (done that myself)

Oh the learning process is slow - must be all those brain cells dying off over the years. Oh well, I can hope that all that extra time in retirement will stimulate new growth.Just took my ram rod, reveresed the loading/cleaning jag, and find (to my surprise only I'm sure) that it disappears completelyinto the barrel by about 3/4 1 inch. Obviously I will need an extension such as those I recall I saw in the store(which now makes sense). Of course nothing on the 3 piece rod from the cleaning kit matches the ram rod.

1st-off... with inlinesyou should be using a bore brush & only using a jag for seating your bullet.
2nd-off.... here's the best answer to your slightly short ramrod problem.

3rd-off.... get something similar to this for the opposite end of your ramrod.
