Just got one Saturday shot it yesterday to sight it in,shot great but had some problems with the automatic internal transfer bar safety some times the hammer didnt strike the firing pin,I read the manual and it didnt tell you much just that the trigger has to be depressed all the way to fire. Can someone give me some advice on what I was doing wrong, dont want this to happen in November?

Parker forgive me if you already know, the transfer bar safety works by requiring the trigger to be fully depressed before the hammer can make contact with the firing pin (in the old days the firing pin was actually on the end of the hammer itself, you whack the hammer hard enough and KAPOW!). Basically ANY hammergun built today (rifles, shotguns, handguns etc) will feature the transfer bar safety system for liability reasons. What alot of folks don't realize while shooting them is that they simply are "touching" the trigger but let it go once the hammer begins to fall. THATs when the safety will step in and prevent the hammer from contacting the pin. You could possibly be doing that and not realizing it? A full squeeze of the trigger until the gun goes off is the only way to make sure the transfer bar safety works as it should.
That or being a CVA you can NEVER be to sure that it might have to go back for a factory adjustment! [:@]
