Well,
Its spring and there isn't much else to do so lets see if this can amuse us for a while. List your favorite guns. It may be guns that you own, or guns you wished you owned. You can catergorize them if you wish such as favorite deer gun, fav turkey gun, fav elk, fav squirrel, etc. And last but certainly not least lets argue every chance we get.[8D]
So I'll start:
Favorite Deer gun------280 Rem. Its an awesome cartridge. The 280 ,formerly known as the 7mm express, is a 30-06 case necked down to accept a 7mm bullet. It comes within a couple hundred feet per second of the 7 mag with less recoil (IMO) It is more than enough gun to bring down even the biggest muley.
Favorite Elk/Moose/Bear etc gun--- 338 win mag. Always take enough gun. After all dead is dead.
Well thats enough to start some arguments I would guess.....for now!

Having hunted with most of the calibers from 22 Short to 416 Rem Mag, I could hunt all North America with my 280 or 6.5x55. If Grizzly was in the mix, my 7600 30-06 would get the call. Sold all the Magnums.

My favorite all around caliber for big game is a 30-06 I use it for hunting Elk, Moose, Goat Sheep and Deer.I would not hesitate to use this caliber on any of the game mentioned above. It is all I use.
My second favarite would be the .338 Win mag.
This is a caliber I bought 10yrs ago and have not used.
But I'm glad I own it!!!
It is Browning A-bolt with a Macmillon synthetic stock, and comes with the Boss muzzle break.Mounted is a Leupold VX III scope 1.5-6X power.
Thirdly I would say the 375H&H mag perfect for the Northern B.C. and Alaskan moose hunts where Grizzlies are frequent and the Moose are big.
(eg.>1100lbs.)
I do not own this caliber but I highly respect it and it would be my caliber of choice when hunting in that State.

Nice choices all! I have fallen in love with my 338. Many complain of the recoil, and it is a thumper. I love mine though.
Favorite Gun I wish I could Afford: Dakota model 10 with French Grey finish and alot of engraving....Caliber 222 rem.
