I have 3-favorite rifles.
1) Remington Sendero chambered in 7mm-STW. This is my go-to-gun for long range shooting. This gun is at home on the prairie shooting antelope or mule deer.
2) Ruger Model-77 chambered in 300-win. mag. This has been my old "work-horse" I have taken black bear, antelope, whitetail, mule deer & elk with this rifle.
3) Remington Model-700 BDL Deluxe chambered in 375-Remington Ultra Mag. I think this rifle & I are going to be good friends.
I have found a good handload for this rifle. I will hunt everything (black bear, antelope, whitetail, mule deer & elk) with this rifle.

My old win 70 in .264 has been my "go to" gun for a long time. Then I had a disire for a rem 7600 in .35 whelen. My wife bought me one for Christmas one year and It was a Fav. for awhile. Then I fell in love with the T/C Encore 50 X 209 muzzleloader. I got me one and hunted with it a year. I had visions of getting all sorts of extra barrels in a variety of cartridges but have not (so far).
The first big game I ever shot was with a borrowed sav. 99 in .300 sav. I have always thought of owning one. Last year I bought two and hunted most of the fall with one of them. I took a bull moose, a white-tail doe and two wolves with it. I am presently doing some hand loading for it and it is my pet at the moment.
If my affection should sway it might be towards a little number I saw on "www.Eaacorp.com" A side by side double rifle in 45/70 at a fairly affordable $ tag.

Mauser FN,Ruger M77II .... like mauser and mauser style actions do we? Me Too ! Nearly perfect design. full length claw extractor. control round feeding. Brilliant design. I want to build a custom 375 HH one of these days on either a Mauser action or a Ruger M77 action... Some day I guess. Bear medicine, you see!
