We hunted out of Cody Wyoming a couple of years ago. We did hunt with an outfitter. Saw about 100 deer/day. We were 2 for 3, and the third one missed a shot. At that time, it was about 90% chance of drawing. I can give you the name of the outfitter if you email me.

I live in SE Wyoming, A great place is SW of Laramie in the Snowy Mountain range. Lots of deer of all sizes. I think you can get tags over the counter. 1,000's of acres of public land in the mountains. If you need more info or if you decide to pick Wyoming let me know and I'll help you all I can. I'm not an outfitter.

Here is one of the mulies that I helped a couple of guys from New York get. These size bucks are very typical of the mule deer in southern Idaho. Whatever state that you decide to hunt. I suggest that it be in the first couple of weeks in November. Thats when ALL the bucks are out and in the rut.

Here is the one that got away on the late archery hunt a couple of weeks ago. He looked pretty tired. In a normal day it is not unlikely to see 10 -15 different bucks. Again, these are your norm with a possibilty seeeing a buck that will push close to 200 b&c. I am not an outfitter but can help get you going. Almost all of soutern I daho is public land. It is not hard to find a place to hunt. E-mail me if you are interested.
