Where to go for Mulies!

I would like any info on good spots to go rifle hunting for Mule Deer. Public land or outfitters, doesn't matter. It would be for a group of 4-5 guys. Would like a place with relatively high success rate.

Thanks,
Mr. Tiny

I have heard good things about eastern Colorado, but no, no particular state.

Look toward Eastern Montana or the plains of Kansas or Colorado.

Only place that 4-5 guys can get guaranteed tags for Mulies all at the same time may be parts of Wyo or Eastern Montana.

RE: Where to go for Mulies!

This past year myself and my hunting partner hunted up in northern Colorado near Walden. Opening day we were back in camp and relaxed by 8:30am. My buddy got a nice 5X5. For myself we went over to Kremmling, middle park area. We went with a spot and stalk hunt, it's so open just grab the binocs and glass away. We spotted this monster mule deer out in the sage brush, all we could see were antlers. We put a stalk on him and got within about 200 yards when he decided to stand up. He's a 6x6 with about a 25 inch spread, 325 field dressed. He should score around 190. We have taken 3 nice deer out of that same spot.
As for eastern Colorado most of it is private and there are more whitetales than mules, but they are huge from what I understand. Let me know what you decide

Any particular outfitters or specific areas in eastern Montana that anyone recommends? More concerned with seeing alot of mules rather than trophies. Thanks for the info so far, it is really coming in handy narrowing down where to go.

Keep the suggestions coming, they are greatly appreciated.

I used to hunt eastern Colorado for years, and I got many nice deer and a few real hogs. Almost all of the land is private though, so if you do not know a rancher, it's very difficult.
