Here's some of the areas we hunt for deer and elk. These are all pictures from last fall. We rent a cabin for the deer area since it's 2 hours north of where we live (city of 60,000) but the elk hunting is only 1/2 our from my house and we live in town.
Here's where we deer hunt, about 2 hours north:

(see the deer?)

This is deer hunting 1/2 hour south:

Here's where we elk hunt, same 1/2 hour south (yes, in the sage);

I grew up hunting in the pacific northwest, in the steep mountains and unreal beauty. I have also hunted in Kentucky, while stationed at ft Knox. I loved hunting in KY, but it doesnt compare to hunting in the mountains where you can stand on top of a mountain and look in all directions and not see a single soul. Heck i volunteered to stay an extra 6 months here in Korea just so I can go to Ft Carson CO and be back in the mountains... and hopefully hunt elk

The east aint all big cities.
