it really depends on what im fishing for.

bass - central
smallmouths - east
trout - west
walleye/pike - north (canada)

otherall, I like the east because of the many kinds of fish you can fish for.

I've never fished west of the Appalachain Mountains..but with the pictures I've seen ,I know I'm missing out. I'm ready to moveto fresher air. Therefore; my choice isout west for some trout and salmon. Also; I could fish Lake Casiac ,California for bass.

I am happy where I am but, I wouldn't mind a trip to the west to try walleye, and then north west to Alaska for a great fishing trip as well.

Don't really go on alot of long trips, But I don't really have to we a quite a few lakes in Minnesota and If I want to fish for something different I just switch lakes. That being said I would like to fish the southern regions for bass, they grow 'em much bigger down there.
