Orlando area hog hunting guides
I am planning on taking my 10 year old son hog hunting in FL when we go down for a week at the end of the month. Our tenative plans are to go with Ron's Guide Service in Okachobee. However, that's 2.5 hours south of Orlando. We'd much rather find somewhere closer, but their prices seemed reasonable. Does anyone know of any guides closer to the Orlando area? Also, any reviews of Ron's Guide Service would be appreciated. If he's really worth it, I'll just go there.
Thanks!

RE: Orlando area hog hunting guides
I haven't used Ron's before but I have heard they are good. Most of the guides actually hunt in the Melbourne area but operate out of O-town. It's only bout an hour away if I remember right. There's not really any actual hog hunting in the Orlando area to speak of just some of the guide sevices base there. You could also contact Hoppy Kempfer at Osceola Outfitters (407)957-3593. He carries an EXCELLENT reputation and can really produce. He guided the Outdoor Channel a couple years ago. Be sure to ask him if he offers stands. He is known for his hunts with dogs which may not be a good place for your 10 year old to be.
