I've really been hit hard the past couple of days with the desire to go. Its been 3 years this fall since I was in the Mtns of Colorado in mid-September. I miss it greatly.
I have my Colorado DOW rule/regs and draw permit apps in the mail, and will send in for PP, but a part of me wants to go ahead and try for a muzzleload tag. I got a PP, so I have a shot at drawing I think. I probably won't though, saving the vacation to hunt with my Dad here in Arkansa, but the urge is very strong ..... anyone else ?

Yep, with one point you could come hunt Colorado with the muzz. Hard to beat the aspens turning, cool, crisp mornings and bugling elk. Take your dad along with you, he'de enjoy himself, even if he wasn't hunting. I know opening morning will find me at 11,000 feet over looking some elk wallow or water hole, waiting for some mountain monarch to to meet his fate. Good luck wherever you go.

Stealthy, you probably would get drawn with one point. Hope so anyway, cause that is what I plan to do and I have one point. Will be on a pack-in trip outside Durango to muzzleload for bulls. Can't beat it. I consider it the ultimate hunt. It is intoxicating and I don't drink! Swaying you yet?
The next fall, I will be hunting early Sept. rifle season for bucks on a high country hunt in Colorado with Deerking. Can't wait!
Good hunting!
