Beaver, the US would have been part of the British Empire and North America would have been one country called Kanada (indian for village I think), which was later changed to Canada due to a spelling error by the French. (heads up,Incoming)

I'd like to see a min. 3 pt. rule take effect, let the kids grow up!!!
I'd also like to see the natives have to pay the same fees as the white man for his hunting and fishing privilages, just because of something that happened over a 100 yr. ago the natives will continue to "milk" the system for all they can. They keep crying " woe is me", personally I'm tired of hearing it, not only do they not pay their way to hunt and fish, they abuse the freedoms given to them, taking more than they use and not even using what they do take, trading deer for beer.Your ancestors would be ashamed to see a once proud people acting in such a manner.Sorry BJ, thats just how I see it, and I've seen it often.

Seadog, thats not at all where the name "Canada" came from so let me set the story straight for you, OK? When the europeans first settled here, they didn't know what the natives called the place. So they decided at the time the pick the name themselves. As no one could come up with anything suitable, they decided to draw letters of the alphabet from a hat and from those letters they would name the new country.
So the guy picks the first letter, a "C' . Then says, "C", eh? He picks a second letter and the guy again says, "N", eh? Then the third letter "D" and says, "D", eh?..................

Hell no France and Germany don't deserve to get any of the contract money for rebuilding Iraq! They didn't contribute one red cent to the president's reelection campaign."
You should come over to the Hunting poltics forum maybe jack?

Liberal dosnt mean liberty - just the reverse i think more regulations, anti hunting gun, traping,& many otherthings ,liberal lawmakers.

We could talk of gun control& wacko/greenie/ enviro mental ists, elitists, leftist, rightist & commie nests etc.

god& his good hunting& things he gave us how we helpim out(no im not david koresh)

But sometimes its not a place for some-they did not get some$$$ thosefrogs&cabbge heads because they dont have troops in iraq-
You do know those ppl who come from the usa?And its ours( the taxpayers bucks)

Now i do thank& commed the Canuc ,Canadians& there ppl for sending troops to afganistain- esp with there such liberal goverment employies, in charge in Ottawa. They are our Nabors too , i got a few kin there still.

Iuse to think it was my second home Saw japan is sending in 1,000 troops&20 fixed wing craft & combat choopers( if i rememeber right)

Think it will be the first time there off there island doing things like that since ww2

As disloyal as it seems for the frogs an' cabbage heads to not have supported Bush (notice I didn't say the USA) in attacking Iraq, you might jus' keep in mind that they were right, as it turned out. Bush's attack was based on bad information at best, lies at worse. I don't think we need hold a grudge against countries that saw thru the BS he was spewing. Although I don't like the pretenses used to attack Iraq, I'm glad those people will have a chance at democracy. But somebody once said, "Iraq will be ready for democracy when the people are ready to fight in the streets for it, not against it." True words in my mind. Hope they hang thet SOB Saddam....with barbed wire over a flaming pit to boot.

There ya go livin in the past again jack.
I dont care the why are we there in iraq bs & poltices myself much .
Its ongoing & everyday OUR troops are there being killed& mained-OUR sons& daughters, uncles& brothers& fathers.
OUR troops arent there for the poltices or the prophets or money.

Thsoe french/germans can only help when its good for there pocket books?(good we didnt think like that during the cold war&ww2)
Yes we should rememeber that next time- without us neither would have a country or a pot to ps in.

They think they can play it safe& make money at the same time.

That to me is a true war profitier.

Yes, our troops are there an' everbody wants to support the boys doin' the dyin'. But we have a duty to take control of our government when its obviously headed out to left field. Lyin' to the american people over things that get people kilt is far more serious than lyin' about who's mouth is tootin' the presidential pecker, yet we don't hear the uproar over these transgressions, even with such blatant graft as no-bid contracts entering the picture. Power ultimately rests with the people, and as a people, I'm sayin' I don't like bein' lied to anymore than I like abuses of power. Anybody remember Nixon?
