I had a permit in 2009 and got a moose after waiting for around 30 years. But, have been a sub on 2 other hunts and got 1 moose. So I guess I can’t complain but would love to get drawn for another one before 30 more years gets here. I doubt I would be still around by the time 30 more years comes up though.. But you can’t be drawn if you don’t put in..

Not bad getting 2 moose and you are correct about putting in to win! I would have to look it up, but I think I've been putting in for 20 years.

The first week of moose hunting up here has come and gone. The success rate was at 72 percent! That was an awesome success with the biggest bull weighing in at 1043 pounds dressed.. He was sporting was sporting a 21 point rack with a 56.25 inch spread.. There was plenty more big moose for sure but this one was the heaviest by around 100 pounds. There was another couple of 23 point moose with one of them sporting a 62 inch wide rack.. He was around 850 pounds dressed but still an awesome bull.. The next hunt starts on Monday which is a harder hunt when it comes to calling them out.. Then of course they have the cow hunts coming up as well. I am more interested in the bulls though..
