Default Maine moose application dates.

Hi just letting those that maybe interested in the Maine moose lottery the application date had changed from January. It is now from April 1st to May 15th this year. They said because they are still going over the data.. They want to post how many moose permits will be allotted to each zone.. Just sending along some info to those that may want it..

Maybe this year for me, with the bonus points for applying for so long, my name gets thrown in the hat over 100 times.

No as the weather was warm and a guy’s nephew was hunting in the same area with 6 different pickup trucks pounding the roads trying to get one out for him. I tried to get my wife to go to a different area but she didn’t want to because we had seen some nice bulls scouting the week before. Her permit so nothing I could do and she stuck with just the same..

am hoping to get a permit up by my camp. I put a friend in an area up there and he got one. He didn’t want to hunt that zone because others told him it wasn’t a very good zone. He tried to swap it but no one wanted to..

I'm sure he's wondered what would have happened if he did swap for another unit. I bet he's glad that he got one!

Yes he was very happy to have gotten one. He admitted that him and his boys most likely wouldn’t had gotten one if I didn’t put them into that area.. Then offered me a few steaks after it was butchered as a thank you..
