Hi guys, I apologize for not checking in in a while, I actually have not got an elk, but there is something else on my mind that’s been stopping me from hunting. You see, there are two wildfires in my state, both pretty bad. When was near Stanley, one was near Burley. The smoke is so bad, it was making me wonder if that would affect the hunting.
I’m not sure if it would affect the hunting or not, but just to stay out of the smoke and keep my lungs healthy, I’ve been staying away from hunting for a little bit. On a sidenote, deer season opened August 30. I almost got a deer opening day. Between the deer hunt and the elk hunt, I got to figure out which one I’m going to do each day.
Things have also been pretty busy.
Now that the smoke is clearing up, I’m probably going to try going out for deer tonight, and then I’m going to scout around for another elk spot.
Thats the full update. Jared

Here’s another update.
My hunting time is going to be limited, because of family issues. It’s going to be hard for me to find time to go out again. When I do go out, I will keep you updated.
