"I can promise you I am not going to change the way I run my business because 3 people on here don't approve. No one is getting screwed if they agree to it at the start."
SJA---I can't believe that asinine statement you just posted for others to read, LOL! You should have never put any posts on this thread about how you do business if you didn't want negative reaction from it, plain and simple!!! That quote I just put up from your last post says it all about the way it appears you do business, LOL! As long as your customer signs on the dotted line that they know they are getting screwed and don't have any recourse or refund coming, you sure aren't going to give them one under any circumstances! As I said earlier, I dealt with lots like you over my years in law enforcement and the contract isn't what we are talking about here. It's the lack of ethics and not treating the customer right when you put them together with someone you represent as not having to worry about because you've done the homework and then **** happens!!!

Nope! He came on here and his contract apparently is just like the one that Blair is falling back on to say he is in the clear. Legally that may be the case in both instances, but we are talking about ethics and how to treat customers properly that come to a company in good faith, not about a friggin sentence they are using to cover their backside! As I stated, he was the one who came on here and started this by basically saying he has the same contract Blair has, so too bad if he doesn't like what is being said. This is an open forum for discussion and all I'm doing is expressing my views that are based on 30+ years working for the public that is too trusting and don't read the fine print on stuff like this!

Expressing the same opinion over and over is becoming a personal attack.
Rules to ponder to which you all agreed to abide by.
3. No slanderous or libelous posts - Knowingly making false claims about a company, organization or an individual are illegal and thus prohibited.
~If that Blair person has not been proven guikty in a court - he is innocent and thus this whole thread could be slanderous.
8. Do not engage in "flame-wars" or excessive exchange of confrontational postings. Debate is important, but users should not try to "pick a fight" with one another.
12. While we encourage lively debate, we will not tolerate personal attacks. Any person attacking another forum member will receive a warning and have their message removed. Any future incident thereafter will result in that member being removed from the forum.
15. Posts directed to a specific person can be considered off topic and will be deleted by our moderators.
Just food for thought.

Sorry Moderator! It did not seem to me that anyone was attacking anyone, but rather just trying to respond to posts and get a point across when responding to that party. I openly admitted that my law enforcement profession was passionate in protecting consumers and it has carried over into retirement! I will definitely honor your request and make this my last post. I've probably helped more people on more hunting websites than he is old in the last year alone, LOL! He kept saying he's done and then kept coming back with more statements like that last one insulting me so I hope your message was intended for not just myself. It would seem that this thread discussing ethics is no different than the Blair one that was allowed to be left on the site, but YOU are the Boss. Have a good evening everyone!!!

I haven't read it so I don't know the specifics of this particular incident but as a booking agent we personally do not give refunds. We receive a deposit, deduct our commission fee from it and forward the remainder of the deposit to the outfitter then any due balance of a hunt is paid directly to the outfitter by the hunter. We are paid solely by the outfitter and receive no pay what so ever from the hunter so if there are any refunds the outfitter is responsible for all refunds given to a hunter and it states so in our contract.
You keep saying this is not about contracts then why the heck does anyone even bother to have a contract. Contracts are an agreement between consenting parties. If I sign one I am binding to it, if anyone else signs one they are binding to it. I am going on record here to tell you that you need to be careful with all these accusations you throw out there so freely. I have saved every post you have made to this point. I willing to walk away and I hope you let it drop too. God bless.

Moderator---Now who is keeping this thread alive after your request to end it and is openly getting in the last word and making open threats on this thread directly at a member? Only opinions have been expressed as to how ethics are involved in a business, regardless of whether a contract is involved, and that's ALL that has been said! All I have ever said is that both contracts state that no refunds will be given by both agents being discussed here and that's ALL that was said about the similarities in the way the two parties do business! Threatening me with a lawsuit, which it sure looks like was just done, IMHO, is not an appropriate way to end this thread after I said I was done and then had to read his unnecessary response on here! Thank you!!!
