you can rent horses to get u into good elk country in montana if u have a little experence riding and bowhunting the best cause they are easier to locate since they are bugiling. the price aint bad either 250 for 2 weeks for a horse and 100 bucks a set for panniers and pack saddle. you could get by with 4 horses 5 would be better that could get you in away from other hunters and a lot easier gettig the elk out besides on your back.
