Default Quick question on antelope meat

Hi guys,
I'm going on my first antelope in 2mos. In terms of weight, whats a reasonable ballpark figure for meat weight from an avg. buck antelope? I figure they prolly run a little lighter for their size than a White-tail, but I could be wrong.

De-boned meat...a very nice buck you might get 60 lbs. A doe 45 lb.

Like skb said you can probably figure on 50 pounds of meat per Antelope.

Thanks for the info. Man, I sure hope to be packing 60# of meat, if you know what I mean.

50 - 60#'s deboned meat not the avearage IME. 30-40 is more realistic.

Hey guys -- good luck on the lopes. They are a blast. I would say skeeter is right. The other guys' figures would be more accurate for bone in meat. It does not take long to eat up a lope. If cared for properly they are fantastic eating. biggest thing is get the hide off while they are still warm if possible and then cut them clean. They are really good eating especially if they are pre-rut.

Good luck guys. Hope you find one like my son shot last year.

Like hs been said, probably closer to 40# of de-boned meat, 50-60#'s with bone in.

IMO the heart and liver is almost the best to eat from a Pronghorn. Good luck.
