New Brunswick Moose Tag
Just called the DNR for NB and found out that I drew a NonResident New Brunswick Moose Tag... Can't wait for this September!
Has anyone hunted moose up there?

RE: New Brunswick Moose Tag
Western MA Hunter,
I have not hunted Moose there before, but have been going Spring Bear Hunting many years now. The Moose are definately there...but you MUST get off the beaten path to score a nice Bull. Seems the "Natives" road hunt the heck out of them and kill all the "easy ones" early on. Check the website for New Brunswick DNR...seems to me they have a nice breakdown of the stats for each zone. Not sure what your plans are, but I can give you a super guide who generally has a couple Non-Resident clients per year...and seems to always have success. I know he has taken several 40"-50" bulls, and doesn't mind busting brush to get it done. Born and raised in Zone 7/8 area and has been guiding for nearly 20 years. Let me know if you want any further and I will be glad to assist. By the way.....How many years did it take you to draw a tag??? Just curious as I have not been as fortunate.

Western MA Hunter,
One thing I forgot to mention was the guide I was speaking of, was a former member of the PSE Canadian Team and sincerely knows and appreciates archery hunting. He has recently come to his senses and now shoots a Mathews!

Glad to hear he shoots a Mathews... My kind of Guide. Please PM me his name/outfitter name.
Believe it or not, this was my first year applying for the tag!

I've been there Deer hunting the past two years. Could have shot Moose both times. The outfitter we used loves to hunt moose. It is only a three day season and he has 100% kill rate. He is big into calling them. Let me know if you want his info.
