Never heard of the "cow only rifle season in Sept.". If such exists, must be on private land.
End of September is the end of Archery and sometimes the end of Muzzleloader falls that late too. Depends on your definition of "end of September".
And one additional note, for some of the units (ie the one we hunt is included), this year there was not an "either sex" or "cow tag" option. Bull only for 1st season draw. Just a side note.
