Newfoundland is a nice place to hunt, but unless you pay some serious extra cash, it is mostly a meat hunt. Yes, there are some exceptions, but unless you have been hunting out of the same lodge for a while, or are simply lucky enough to be in the right spot at the right time, it will be a meat hunt. Did I say that already? Good luck.
The first year I hunted there, the guide & I ran across a trophy class bull and the guide refused to pusue it. Seems that it was earmarked for a "regular." Irregardless of their apologies, I never hunted out of that lodge again.

Hunt New Hampshire, Maine or Vermont all on lotterys and have a chance at something in thelow 50's to mid 60's. Seriously we have some great moose in northern New England. Hard to get a tag but those racks are everywhere.
