Mule Deer from Mexico ..... ( pic )
I want to share this pictures; I got this 8 point Mule Deer in the North of Mexico in the desert of the state of Coahuila Mex. the last day of this season. Afther a 5 miles walk in the rain; I got him at 290yards, one shoot.

That is a nice deer. It has the coloration of a muley but
its antlers look like a whitetail because it has no back
forks. I would bet it is a hybrid.

Nice deer, congrats. Muleys aren't scored the same way as whitetails and that is a 4 point. Course it looks like a whitetail rack so I guess you could get away with calling it an 8 point. I notice you're from Monterrey, I do business in Monterrey. How far from there did you shoot that deer?

Monterrey is in the state of Nuevo Leon and we usually dont have any Mule deer around here; only whitetails; I have to travel by car 350 miles to the state of Coahuila (next to the state Nuevo Leon) plus travel 60 miles in country road to get to a nice 10,000 acres ranch. This ranch is about 50 miles from the border with Texas and about 150 miles from the city of El Paso Texas;
here's a map of the state of Coahuila and the red cruz indicates more or less where the ranch is. Hope this helps....
