Default pigs

I am wanting any advice on hunting pigs in Texas. Good or bad, hard or easy. what to take etc. Never done and getting ready to go. thanks for all................Mitch

i have lived in texas all my life. i have a passion for hunting hogs. tere are very few if any places to hunt free. either you will have to know someone that has a ranch or you will have to pay. i hog hunt in the palestine area. go to web site oversize outfitters and you will see a pic of a hog i killed/

I hope this isn't too late. It depends on where you are. If you are out of state you would be best off to book with a guide or outfitter. There are quite a few in NE TX (east of Dallas). Most are very reasonable($150.00-$200.00/day). There are tons of hogs in that area of the state. I lived and hunted in TX for one year and although I didn't take a hog that year I saw lots of sign. This was in Sam Houston National Forest (Huntsville,TX). Check out This site will cover just about everything you want to know about hunting hogs in TX.
