Some crazy folks out there...but a gun is not always going to save you. If you carry a gun in the outdoors to,protect yourself...then why not just around town everyday....more bad stuff happens in your neighborhood everyday.
I do carry one everyday and everywhere. I even carry one when I mow the lawn or when I'm watching tv.Better to be prepared than not. Plus the fact I have a lot of concealed weapons, I have fun with it, changing it up. It's kinda like a hobby to me.[8D]

Glad you don't try to CC your 460. But you might start thinking about it!Hell who knows you might get held up by a Mack truck.

Latest out on this, dude had done hard time in Kansas for 2d degree murder.....you never know whats under the bushes.Open carry is legal in Colorado and CCW's are easy to get.For years, we have never gone to brush without a side arm! I pray to God I never have to use one.....still....
Dan
If he did time for murder, then he's a convicted felon. No way he could ever carry legally.

"Did hard time for 2nd degree murder"??!! What's he doin' out??!

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Loose the bleading heart concept that these guys can be rehabilitated and loose the appeals process and parole. That would save the local, state, and federalgovernments millions of dollars right there.

You kill somebody, you either die for it, or you spend the rest of your life behind bars. Plain and simple!

May sound crazy...but I'm for public execution via tv. Prison should be a hard time sentence, none of this stinking vacation bullchit. We actually have professional prisoners that as soon as they get out of prison they commit another crime to get thrown back in, because they can't make it in the real world. Prison should be so bad no one would actually want to go!!!

Edit- I forgot to add... In Texas if thereare 3 or more witnesses, they put you on the fast track to execution. I think thats a great idea. An eye for an eye!

We were threatened by pot farmers with guns while bear hunting on the Oregon Coast. I always carry my fire arm in the sticks.

This is very sad. I am all for concealed carry but there is no guarantee had she been packing it would have helped. People seem to forget that not everyone knows how to react in dangerous situations. I carry but am really uncertain what my reaction would be in an event like this. I definately hope I would choose the correct option. I certainly feel for the young womans family and think the person who commited this crime should pay with his life.

While carrying a weapon is no guarantee, not carrying one is.

The sad thing is, this could have been prevented, What was she doing by her self, granted you should be able to walk without fear, but in todays society, from my experience in law enforcement you cant trust any one anywere, I dont care if its mayberry. I live in North Idaho and no first hand about criminals. We had Joseph Duncan, If the public new the facts about the case, You would all hunt down sexually preditors. murders and sex preditors should be put on the front line in Iraq, with 5 bullets and no ticket back home.
