here everyone weighs the bears i have never tryed to get a skull measurement what points do you use?

my first and only bear a 222lb boar from pa. first time since i have been 12 that i got time to bear hunt and i guess i finally got some beginners luck skull was pretty big for all the more it weighed. It was 18 0/16 B&C. Man but some of these bears are some real hogs.

And yet last and the smallest a 200 # from ON canada

As far as body weight, North Carolina typically has bears weighing in excess of 600 and 700lbs. Last I heard, thecurrent state record is somewhere around 800lbs. It's deceiving though, as their skulls are not as big as the bears killed in Canada. Most the big bears are killed in the eastern part of the stateat the coast. Lots of swamps.

Awesome bears guys!! My husband Hardcorehunter has hunted bears many times and has three in our house mounted and one in a rug. I am going with himon a bear hunt in Newfoundland in fall 07, very excited!

This my only bear so far.. Taken in New Brunswick in 2005 ,300lbs... I am off to Sak. on the 27th to try and get bigger one this time with the bow..
