A good bear gun?
#1
I have a Remington 870 12gauge that i use for ducks, geese, andrabbits. Next fall i will be old enough tobear hunt in my state. With a full rifle slug barrel, would this gun be enough to take a black bear,In the part of the adirondacks that i hunt in they are usually pretty small.

Your 12 ga with slugs will work great. I have seen it used numerous times at my camp and it worked great. But, I won't put up the link and try to get some free advertising like others do. Good luck and shoot straight!

The 12 gauge will work just fine. As a matter of fact, i have and uncle that has taken two large blackies in new york state with his 20 gauge. So with this being said...I would think that your 12 gauge would bring em down too...good luck hunting
