Apparently you are under the assumption that you are the only one to have shot a big bear in Alaska. The original poster was most likely not talking about your bear. And I doubt if he has a clue you nor your bear even exist. Perhaps the site administrator can help us follow up with tracking this person down and see who is right here. My money is on the brown bear.
Just how big was your bear? I'm a writer for Bear Hunting Magazine, and if you have killed an exceptionally big bear, I'm always looking for a story.

Your wrong again. It is a small world, and often times the Internet makes it even a smaller one. The pics look familiar to me. I'm willing to make a wager of a large amount, but I'm sure somewhere in the forum rules this would be the wrong thing to do. Perhaps you could email me at [email protected] and you and I could ante up. I like easy money. BTW, I'm willing to double anything you throw down if I can tell you the model camera and serial number and the brand of film and speed. So what do you say? Can we dance?

Jim I will be sure to post pics of the big bear this spring at the sports show with Rich and hopefully if Ted is still going to be around!
Its just all to interesting what people are willing to be believe but I assure you Beardown that is Ted, Jim (dalliwackers) partner on the deer hunt with a little twist. If you need further comfirmation you can feel free to email me and I am sure we can dig up a Fairbanks or Anchorage newspaper with the big bear in it and the actual story that goes along!

Thanks Dan! Rich assures me he will get me pics. Ted no longer lives in AK, he lives in VA now. Want to take a stab at what shipping will cost? Supposedly he worked it where the gov is footing the bill. I won't hold my breath.

Dan
I'm still trying to get this house purty. No time for hunting right now. Did I just say that??? Yikes...nope no hunting right now, but I'll be heading out for about 4-5 days around the 16th of Nov for some monster whitetail. I may get a late season shot at elk, but if not, it will have to wait until next year.
Send the pics, you know how I like the pics. I'm particularly impressed with the ones Beardown posted, but the resolution Hunting-pics has absolutely sux!
You going for goat or not?
