Hello Everyone,
I have been reading this sight for a while but this is my first post. I am looking for some advice. A friend of mine and I are going Elk hunting in Colorado this year. We have a guide and are hunting October 27, 28, 29 and 30th. We also were drawn for either sex Mule Deer on private land in units 18, 27, 37, 181 and 371. We are going to hunt both during the four days with the guide. We are currently looking at hunting October 22 through the 26 before our guide trip. Now to my question. Would anyone have any advice on how we might be able to hunt Elk, Mule Deer or Bear during this period on public or private land? We are up for about anything. We have never hunted Colorado and we would like to utilize the entire 2nd rifle season. I have never been to Colorado so I can't wait just to see the Rockies. We would like to make some contacts and friends and mabe go back year after year. We would even be interested in leasing or paying someone for the opportunity to hunt private land during these five days. I appreciate any input and thanks for you time.
If anyone could share some information about these particular units, it would be most appreciated. Thanks Again!

We have an excellent second rifle high country camp, with high quality bulls and a good success rate. It is unit 75. Tags are unlimited, over the counter or you can purchase online at the dow http://wildlife.state.co.us If you are interested in a guided hunt we have openings for 2nd rifle. How many are in your party? We also offer drop camps with a gps full of locations we feel are "good spots", and if your independent but need help getting the elk out, contact us and if your nearby, we have a pack-out service.
