I shoot 70# on my bow. Is there any big game in North America that would require more?
I'm really interested in Elk, Bear(any type), Moose and or Bison.
I'm new to hunting so be gentle with me. I just finished my first season hunting whitetails and it was awsome.

Poundage alone is not enough to make a determination. We also need to know other factors such as draw length, cam type (if you're shooting a compound), brace height, etc. to calculate your arrow's kinetic energy.

more importantly..your bows Momentum! Both Ke and Momentum work together...something folks cant seem to get across to themselves! Not to mention bh types, arrow characteristics, flight, diameter..heck look at Wahya's post on the trad forum. Great stuff manerd!
