well season opens tomorrow. i had the youngster out and chased a bird the last 2 days and well to be honest he has gotten me a bit angery at him so i have resolved to abandon my original plans of going after that bird from the pics and i am gonna go after this bird. he has a great beard and at 80 yards with binocs appears to have awesome spurs. so he will take a final dirt nap in the morning!

Good luck snapper! I need you to get him down cause I've been hunting a month now and I can't seem to get it done. I'm not giving up by a long shot but we need you to help carry me

Well feelin a little better about my setup after tonite. Starting to figure these suckers out now. I now know they like to be in my field as well as the one they roost in and also know they have no problem crossing thru the creek bottom.
Phil, your right about waiting them out, if things don't fall together with my first light plans, I'm movin the blind up to the edge of the field and gonna wait em out. Looks like they spent a good part of the day in my cornfield.
It's on in the mornin boys!!!!!!!
Go get em Snapper! Time to start rackin up some points boys!!!!

Get out there and get em captain! Just for a little conversation changer, I thought I'd throw in a couple of my trail cam pics. Can't believe the buck is still holding onto 1 side but its nice to see that I have at least 1 good survivor runnin around.

Starting to figure these suckers out now
This is a mistake IMO.. I have learned never to try and figure anything I am hunting out. Just pretend you have them figured out and hope for the best. They appear to know that you are there all of a sudden. Good Luck and the team hopes you nail a nice one.

Nice trail cam pics Mottz! Notice the time the turkeys are going by there? Just what I am seeing up here most of the time I am out scouting. The past 2 years have been the same for me as well. I am thinking the toms are looking for a little new stuff.. LOL
Although I am not sure why this time window works best for me.
Yeah, I am finding it strange as well why that buck still is carrying 1 antler. It should be falling off rather soon now as I am guessing new ones should be starting to break threw. Good Luck on nailing that tom.. The team is routeing for you as well..

Now I will show a pic of 2 toms gobbling up a storm to me yesterday when I was going to set up my blind. Keep in mind I may not make it to my blind when traveling up there if one of these big guys show themselves to me during my travels. LOL
Here is 2 pics of 3 different toms I saw yesterday out of at least 8 and a couple of jakes. I also saw 12 hens on a dirt heading right to my area without any toms with them. It should be a great season for me this year as well. But, who knows?
. This aught to get you guys worked up..

Now lets get em done team!

I must agree with what Mottz has stated earlier though.. Our team is very vocal and hopefully those big toms will be as vocal when they come a running for our decoys!

My 1986 Ford Ranger has been broke down.
I think I have it figured out.
The wires that go to the Knock Sensor connector are fried, like it was grounded out.
It has something to do with the timing.
Now if I can find a wiring harness to replace it, I can get in the woods.
Wish me luck.

I am sorry to hear about your misfortune jrbsr! Those wiring harnesses can be quite costly to replace.. We had to replace one in our old dynasty once even though we lucked out getting a used one it was still quite costly to get the old one out and the other one put back in. Is there any chance on replacing just a section of it? Hopefully you can but if not Good Luck on finding one as well as getting it put back in..

Keep at em Wilcam they are bound to show up at some point.. Being persitant normally pays off in the end.. Good Luck to you..

A big congrats to you snapper! I am glad to hear that you have connected one as well..

Alright team lets get them hanging! We can beat those other teams if we want to! So lets do it!

Youth day comes up on Saturday and then Monday those birds will be doing the running then.. LOL I am having it hard waiting for the chance to put a bead on top of one!
