do any of you all shed hunt?

Wishing you well on a very speedy recovery Arjuna!

My idea of shed hunting? I always say I am going to devote a couple weekends to it but it just never seems to work out. Normally after my turkey hunts I will cruise around looking for some but thats even clouded when I start noticing old scrapes and trails. I lose my focus too easily

I have tried to shed hunt each year, although most the time it appears some one has beat me to it. I tried to go out for some moose sheds but the snow was still do deep where I was trying to go. I had to make a turn around while driving into one area. Where I turned around there was a big dog track that I will be setting a trail cam and bones out to try and get a look at it. I showed a picture of it by my cell phone to a couple of guides. I received very little comment as it is bigger than what the are a custom to seeing. It is at least 3 1/2 inches long. It could be 3 and 3/4 inches as I never had a ruler with me. Wolf/ coyote I am not sure about at this time so I am planning on trying to get it on video mode with my trail cam.

Never really went shed hunting, but the one piece of prop i turkey hunt, only 40 acres, i've found quite a few on while scouting for birds. A couple full sets and a few singles. Not sure why they like to drop em on that particular property but they do, thats the only place i've ever found sheds. Heres a couple pics of a set i found there a couple years ago, sure would have liked to run into this guy!

Arjuna praying for you.
I have never shed hunted but have also found a few while scouting, the sheds down here in Florida are not very big, which makes them harder to find.

I am going scouting in the morning, for a hunt I have on Tuesday.
My best chance of the season is in 9 days.

Hi guys I'm checking in.. I live in upstate NY and our season opens for the month of May. I hunt with a 12 ga mossberg pump and I'm allowed two tags. I live in the Lake George area and hunt strictly public land. I hope to bag a nice eastern tom to help our team in the contest. Goodluck everyone and looking forward to seeing some nice birds here on the forum and in the woods.
