RE: Team 7 check in

Thanks for reminding me how old I am Arjuna, but it seems like every Spring I feel a little younger. Talking turkey makes me feel like a kid again.I would give the two guys about a week. If they don't respond, then we can go to the alternate list. Good luck on your youth hunt. If your like me, I love to cater to others, and I want to make sure their hunt isat least enjoyable, if not successful. Doesn't it just suck when the weather spoils a perfect plan?

Super- Most definately. Now, don't get me wrong, I do like to drop a bird sometimes, but I especially love calling in one for somebody that has never seen a strutting tom or seen one gobble. There's a big difference when they see the bird gobble than when they hear it. Again, thanks for the encouragment.

Simp-I think you can go ahead and edit our the title of our page to Team 7- Jellyheads.

Well, I'm already back... making breakfast for the fam before we head off to church. That's two mornings in the woods without hearing a gobble. It was really cold, but no wind...

Next week starts the regular season. So come Saturday, I should have a new report.

Thread updated! Jelly Head it is!

Sorry you guys didn't get one Arjuna. You will though.

I also PM'd the 2 remaining members that haven't checked in yet and I've heard nothing as of yet. If they haven't been on the forum in a month, like you say, then we may be picking up 2 alternates it looks like. Simp

Sorry about the hunt. Unfortunately, we cannot make the weather cooperate. The birds aren't gobbling on my place either right now. We got about 2 to 3 inches of snow Friday and I believe the unsettled weather has got them quiet. They just aren't used to the cold and the snow down here this time of year. Guess what though, it will only get better. They should be gobbling this week with highs in the 70's.
