oh and m name is James, i am 17 and have been hunting turkeys for 6 years, i have killed 8-9 birds, my biggest one being 22lbs 11"beard and 1 1/4" spurs. i only hunt in CA.

Mike Here......I will be hunting with my twin bro and by myself in WI....Northern and southern that is.

I am helping to do a youth hunt, guiding and videoing. Taking my brother who will be out of open heart surgery--surgery day March 17th, hunt date-April 16.

Then I hunt the last three time periods in wi. which starts May.

I am here!!!! Thanks for the PM. I hunt SE Michigan and will be out with my son this year, His bird will be first priorty. I have only hunted turkeys the last two years, successfull only the first. I would love to stick one with the bow, but will see... I am ready for either.

As for team name, I would like to suggest something not offensive, Wack em N stack em kind of stuff does not look good from the non hunters that could check in on us.

we havent voted on capitan yet but now thhe the majority of us are here we can decide, i agree with you that we need a non-offensive name but im not very good with nameing things so ill let you guys decide it

Howdy all,

Sorry I didn't get to this earlier, I was travelling, Robert Kopanic is the name and chasing turkeys is the game. I live in Racine WI (South East) originally from Southwestern PA.

If all goes well I'll be chasing birds in 7-8 states this year, GA, TX, OH, SD, WY, NE, WI, and KS. Its going to be a long haul but I'm going to love every second of it.

I've been hunting multiple states for the past 4 years, and its great when you consider the land you get to see and the wonderful people you meet.

From what Hunteen posts it doesn't seem like anyone WANTS to be captain. I'll volunteer to do so, as I'll be hitting the site often during the season and I'll keep things rollling on this post. Anybody else interested?

Also, for a team name, hmmm;

How about The Gobbler Mafia? or Turkey Reapers? or on a lighter note how about Beards Fans &Spurs or Call em - shoot em and Eat em!

Anybody like any of those?

Let me know about the captain position, I'll gladly do it!

i went out to a local regional park and started practicing calling, when i was about to give up on seeing turkeys i finally got an answer and was able to call a 9"beard bird on, too bad i cant hunt there :(

OK, so we are set with a name and a captain, awesome.

Now lets get down to posting some nice birds.

I've e-mailed and pm'ed the two missing folks as well, doesn't look like they are going to show. What is the procedure for getting asigned alternates? Guess its in the threads at the top of the page?

Was downstairs dusting off last years equipment, man do I get pumped about this stuff. I ordered a new slate call (Bud & Betty) and picked up a Palmers Hoot Tube (HS Strut) off of e-bay. Been practicing the mouth calls a bit and checked the shotgun this Saturday to make sure things are still in operation.

I am ready!

we will get alternates soon, ive been talking to Arrowmaster and we have to wait till every team has submitted a capitan before i give him my request for the alternates, i have another 3 weeks to wait its TORTURE! saturday i went to a local park and called in a ok tom just to start practiceing

Hey guys, sorry i have not been on much.

I h ave been with my bro working on sighting in his gun before his open heart surgery on Monday. WE have it worked out where i put the gun on my sholder and he aims and pulls the trigger, we are very accurate and effeicent! His season is 4 weeks after his surgery and if all goes well we will we out there!!!


I dont start seasons for a while, but i will check in from time to time.

I like the name, an thanks to the volenteers for captain and the name suggestions.

DTC checking in. I am 29, I live in MO, andhave some awesome turkey hunting. I will be hunting FL, TX, and MO. If I can kill an osceola I will have completed my Grand Slam.
