This morning I did a rattling sequence about 7:45 and about 5 minutes later I had a basket racked 8 pointer come in. Nothing I was interested in shooting though. Then around 8:30 I heard footsteps and I looked to see what it was. A coyote. He was a very large one with black markings throughout his coat. He was actually very nice looking. He never came close enough for me to get a shot though. Next time out will be Thursday. Good luck!!!!!

I don't think we have heard from him since he has checked in. I may try and get out tomorrow morning. There is heavy rains and high winds forecast with thunderstorms mixed in. May be a little windy in the morning but the deer should be moving after all the rain.

Well I'm a little bummed. Only had to work 9 hours today so I rushed home and pulled all my cameras in the rain. Saw my double main beam buck right by my tree stand. Bad part is he already lost his left side. The side with double beam. Only a brow tine left. Only one decent buck on cams. Nice mature 8. A new guy. My big nine has disappeared again and out of 4 cameras only got 3 different sets of doe and fawn. I'm startin to think we may have lost a lot more this summer than I thought. Last summer bout wiped them out. Looks like I will be spending a lot of time on public ground til the big nontypicl starts showing up

Still kicking here team. I try to check the team thread at least every other day, but admittedly have been busy with a new job. Anyways, looks like we are stacking up some points. I'll be out this weekend and have some vacation planned next week. Good luck everyone.

This morning was very windy. I did manage to see 2 deer. There were these 2 bucks that ran past me about 7:45. One was a 1 1/2 old and the other one was definitely a shooter. I tried stopping him to no avail. I will be back at it Saturday morning then not again until Monday. Keep at them and good luck!!!!! It is on!!!!!
