Tyvm! Shes a real horse. I double lunged her at 15 yards. She didnt make it very far before she fell on her face & took her last breath, maybe 15 or 20 yards. It was a great day in the deer woods & Im just gettin fired up!!! 8)

Thanks man, yeah kinda bummed but was still happy for the guy that got him. I still have lots of options to shoot for though so no worries. I will be back on the 4th of Nov and I have 9 days off. Rut will be ramping up big time by then by me so i am looking forward to that hunting time for sure@

Jasons' buck was entered at 99 2/8, which puts Team Pass Thru at a Team Score of
353 6/8 points w/ 8 total kills - Ranking 1 of 16.

Way to go yall! We're beating em in points & we're leading with Total Team Kills.
Team 9 - Backstrap Assassins are 2nd in points w/ 207 6/8 & Team 5 - Bloodtrail Brothers follow us in most Team Kills w/ 5 does down.

Now that the rut is coming on quick, I believe we're going to take a lead that'll be pretty damn tough for any team to follow. You fellas keep on participating like you have been & we'll be the Defending Champs in 2013.

GO TEAM PASS THRU <---lmao 8)

That doe is huge, just look at the head on her. congrats jason!!!

Im headed out on friday after work. Then i get to take out the revenge rifle on saturday so we will see how it goes. I like scouting for archery while rifle hunting. It gives me a chance to see more than 100 yards (i get to see miles instead). So it gives me good scouting time looking over several draws and creeks to see if i need to move stands, Plus i dont lose any valuable time cause i still may get a chance at a good buck, just longer range, and a little less adrenaline.

Bring those rattling horns on Friday and make a racket! The rutting moon was last night so we are headed into peak rut now! I like to start out with a couple "Bleat-n-heats", then followed by a tending grunt (short grunts in rhythm mimicking a following buck), then a snort-wheeze, followed by 5 minutes (It's a long time) of thrashing the antlers violently. If there's a big buck in the area, he'll come in. Just make sure you're set up where he can't circle down wind of you and bust you. GOOD LUCK!

Great advice Jason. Im going out tomorrow & Friday & Im planning on breaking out the rattle bag & the flextone for the first time this year. I plan to do alot of blind-calling sequences throughout the day & stay on point with the binos so a monster doesnt sneak in on me. Im going to hunt two different sets that have yet to be hunted. Ive been saving the whole area just for the rut. I know the 14 pointer named 'BigFoot' beds in there & Ive left him & his haunts undisturbed all season, but the next couple of days of hunting Im dedicating to putting an arrow through him. If I dont get him in the next two days, Im going to back out of there for another week & go concentrate my efforts on the droptine buck.

Im praying that one of the two of them are ready for me to kill them. Ive only been hunting them both for the last 4 years.

Small bucks are starting to chase here at home. Today's the first day I saw them during daylight hours. I believe this weekend the big bucks should be moving. Good luck guys.
This is the time we've been waiting for.
