Nice buck jason, do you still have another buck tag?

You hit the nail on the head, the weekend has gone pretty well so far. I filled my final doe tag with a rifle yesterday and we got three pheasants. I damn near had my first partridge but them little bastards are fast. The new reloads in my 7mm worked great, bullet hit her like a freight train. Gonna go back to pheasant hunting here in a little bit then ill let dad sit in the stand for an afternoon bowhunt.

Sorry to hear about that kelly, that sounds like one tough week. It might sound bad, but i hope you and your wife can sort through the divorce without any trouble. I remember when my parents got divorced, my mom wanted everything plus the shirt on his back. No good.

Thanks Marty. Yea, I still have a buck tag, though Im not to concerned with chasing our other shooter this late in the season. Ill still get out a few more times before the close of season to knock down another doe or two. The doe to buck ratio on our place is pretty high & it wouldnt hurt to thin the does out a little.

I've been hunting our second season here in PA. I'm only seeing does and fawns. I'm not getting any bucks on trail cams either. We are heading back to Ohio on Friday so I'm hoping I can still find a buck out their. I at least have trail cam pics of shooters out there. Wish me luck!

My season is over. The bucks once again knew how to avoid me but next year......There is an antlerless rifle going on now but I just hate that just in case some shed early. But I doubt I'll get out for that.

Greetings friends! Happy New Year to all..... Just got back from some more Military duty here the last week right after Christmas. Bow season shuts down here in WI on the 6th... Never got a chance at an additional doe unfortunately. Used all my mojo on the buck apparently. We are looking strong regardless and I hope that will hold up for us.

Im still around, been spending most of my time pheasant hunting but that season closed today so i dont know what the hell i am going to do now lol.

Our last day here is the 15th. I'm hoping to get out this last weekend, just depends on weather and baby sitter lol

Now that my hunting season is over I now have to focus my attention towards spring turkey. I'm on the local NWTF commitee that helps put on the banquets for the fundraisers. So now I have to hit some businesses up for some cash or donations. I think I have til early March before our banquet comes up. Any of you guys a part of any of the wildlife commitees?

How's the Merriam population doing up there

In this area, not too many Merriams. But out west I know quite a few guys that don't have much trouble getting into them. I'm hoping they give some bonus tags out this year because the population in general has exploded. Except for where I'm set up:bash:

Well, Illinois' season is officially over, time to start gearing up for the 2013-2014 season. 8)

Looks like we are still holding the lead fellas, im still crossing my fingers hoping we got enough to pull through.

Most of the Big Buck states are already out of season & for the states still hunting, bucks should be dropping their antlers. Im guessing we got the win for the '12-'13 season, but anythings possible in the next 6 days.

heck yeah! Just got back from weekend military duty and wanted to get caught up on here... We pulled it off huh! Sweet! Yeah definitely had a blast with everyone on here this year ya know???
