Classic mistake!! Saturday evening I saw a 120" 8 point strolling through a bottom vacuuming up acorns at about 100 yards out. Next afternoon I moved my stand closer to a heavily used crossing in range of where he had been. Sunday evening I see him again and you guessed it he was under the tree I was in Saturday at about 70 yards. My 7 year old daughter gets to hunt with a rifle this weekend and she is claiming him as hers so we will have to see what happens.

Does anyone know if doe's still count toward points this year i know they did in the past but not sure if they do this year..

I'm pretty sure they do not. I remember reading somewhere that they didn't count. She thought about having a seperate contest just for does. But not in this one. But you can't hardly beat meat in the freezer. Congrats.

Hi,
Only antlered deer count for this contest.
Next year we'll consider adding points for does. There are a couple of problems with doing that (more work for me
and not everyone can shoot does). But we'll certainly put it up to the users for consideration.

no i sent a pm to one of the people in charge and asked about the does they said they will not count this year but next year we will have a poll of something to see if we can get them to count for next year

twodogs this is the first deer i have seen in 2 week. Was starting to get a little down on myself. Everyone i hunt with was seeing deer all over the place but not me. But none of them even have a deer down yet. So now that im off the doughnut the big boys will come.
