havent been able to hunt...im leaving this wednesday though and hunting 4 straight days. im gonna enclose 2 pics of a buck off my trail camera not the best quality but u will get the point, let me know what u guys think about him?

That a great buck for sure. He looks like his g2s and g3s are enormous. Hope you get a wack at one. I'm going out tomorrow in Pa with my buddy and his 10 year old son.Our goal is for his son to get a buck. I have 2 doe licenses but I have not shot a doe in probably 10 years. Just don't wont to. I will be taking my video camera with me. If I get any good footage I'll let you guys know.

I saw got shot during the first gun season. I had a couple opps. at decent bucks this weekend but I'm trying to save my final buck tag for a real good one. I always look forward to hunting the late season. bring on the snow and cold! "I've been trying to poke some does, but as usual i cant find any. I cut corn most of the day today in front of my house so hopefully now i will start seeing some deer with regularity. Id be shooting that buck in your trail cam pic. looks like at least a solid 140, prob better.

oh yea i will be hunting during ohios gun season with my bow during mid-week thats a challenge but if i might bust out the shotgun during my last 2 days. those trail cam pics were sent via cell phone from my cousin. he said he seen him last night 60 yds. out and those pics dont do him justice. it would be great to get a crack at him but u never know.

Went out with the rifle today, didn't have any luck par say. Had 2 does bedded that I snuck up to 12 steps on, put the crosshairs on the ones head, took a deep breath and lowered the gun. Just stood there and watched her, I knew she'd eventually run. And I kinda hoped she would I wanted to see her make it, her and another one were running together, little doe fawns. If I'd have taken my bow like I planned to, I would have left the Vulcan play a little string music, just because ANYTHING you kill with a bow to me is a trophy. There's no feeling like it. That is my addiction called bowhunting.

PJ thats a bummer that 10 got shot. Sounds like you have a great area with quaity buck. In our area a 130 class buck is rare.

Went out yesterday all day and got skunked. Very few shots and did not see a single deer all day. As you can tell did not get any good video.

I hunted OH gun opener yesterday. Didn't see a dang thing. I don't like it, as I feel I should be good enough to pick a spot to see at least deer, but Oh well

I'm still here. Looks like I might go out this weekend with a buddy, then I'll be off to Texas the following weekend to hunt with my bro for 2.5 days. He hasn't been seeing much from his stands either.

Yesterday was the first time on the first day of rifle season I did not see a deer. 3 of my friends also did not see deer. I believe the game com. needs to lighten up a little on all the doe permits. On most public land there is very little deer. I scout hard and hunt hard thats why I do good.

Clay, good luck hunting. Texas hunting should be good. I always see big ones taken on TV doen their.

Hey Clay, good luck it TX, hopefully you'll put a good one down. I havent been out much. I went out some this past weekend, all i saw was a small basket racked 8 pt, nothing to get excited over. Also my family and i got accused of wounding every deer in the county (during gun season) by our lovely neighbor lol. He said he was all kinds of deer with gutshots and legs blow off and all kinds of stuff. And the thing is we only fired 2 shots all season. One was a doe that i missed, and the other was my aunt that shot at a spike that was gut shot that ran from their property to ours. Ya their shooting illegal deer. Oh well i guess we better get used to it cause we're stuck with them. Well anyways good luck to anyone still out trying to get it done.

Oh yes were are, Team Hooter's Shooters is on your heels (-16.35 with only half our team with kills). I shot my buck, right in the middle of shot gun season and in woods people shot gun in. I say go for it. Seriously, I do wish you luck. Please keep your kill to a minimum size though.:s2:

Well I'm in total agreeance with what was said by my teammate, I could care less if we win lose or draw, honestly I could, I've had a hell of a good time just shootin the **** with these guys, I seriously hope that everyone here feels the same way and I hope we all keep in touch after this is over assuming we don't win. The only sport I was ever hell bent on winning in was hockey and here I sit 19 years old with a torn mcl miniscus and aductor muscels in my right knee, I'll never play again, I was willing to sacrafice everything to win, and I did, you wanna talk about a slice of humble pie, that will do it for anyone. Its not all about winning or losing, I'd die for anyone of my former hockey teammates, and I know they would do the same for me. The competition is fun for me however and it helps drive me on those mornings I don't feel like getting out of bed at2 or 3 in the morning, and I actually forgot to tell you congratulations fieldmouse, that's a hell of a buck you got. I'd be tickled pink with that.

hey guys...been out hunting since this past thursday for ohios gun season....i had great time but the hunting was ok i guess...made a mistake by not shooting a nice buck...2nd guess myself. then yesterday (sunday) i shot a doe at 40 yds with my slug gun...heres where its get wierd...she was almost broadside but a lil qtr. to me...i aimed right behind the shoulder and fired... when i shot she just stood there and then turned around and stopped. her tail went up and it started flickerning and then her tail tucked. she walked a few steps and back legs gave out. she got her footing and slowly walked away. i was trying to reload as quick as i could but she was heading for some thick stuff. my uncle was close to me on the next ridge over, so he came down after i shot. we found NO hair or blood, just tracks..i thought i made a good hit but idk something happened..we looked and looked, finally the tracks we were following just vanished. uncle thinks i gut shot her. to say the least im upset with myself still . i thought i did everything buy the books. this is the first time something like this has happened to me, ive killed numerous deer with a bow and never had to track a deer over 60 yds. im trying not to beat myself up about it, but i always try to do the most humane and ethical things while hunting, thats the first time i even ever shot at a deer with a gun, i just always bowhunted anyways sorry for the long read but just felt like talking about it with u guys..
