STOP THE PRESSES!!
There's been a change of plans, guys. The farmer from my favorite spot called me tonight and told me I may want to hold off on that 8 pointer. He said the magic words . . "the big boy is back"
. The big boy is a 14 pointMONSTER that showed up onmy trail cam last Nov. 15th. He's got serious mass, length AND spread!! If he's not 300 lbs., he's damn close.I saw him one time in the flesh, later that same week ,chasing a doe down the tree line and into the woods. He was gone in a flash and hasn't been seen since. . . until tonight . Our season opens on saturday, and I can barely contain myself! [8D]I'm going to setup in an old shed-like,out building from an old1800's homesteadfriday evening, with hopes that he holds his pattern, so I can plot my strategyfor Saturday evening. It's gonna be tough, the farmer said he didn't step intothe field until 30 minutes after dark [:@]. . . I'm going to have to set up some where in the woods this late in the game andhope forsome luck.Man, I hope he sticks to the pattern!! I'll check back in on Friday

Hey josh,, good deal,, im glad to hear you got some good bucks cruising your area.. I would do just as you said , I would Glass from a far and see where he enters the field, then saturday afternoon I would carefully slip in about 30 to 40 yards , and set up,, since he has been hiding , rub lines might give you a idea of where he might travel,, man I hope you get to see him .. im heading out friday evening to my buddies place for the weekend, and hope to see the few bucks we know are in the area.. if not ill grab a doe sunday evening, and try to get us on the board! not to mention I cant wait for some deer poppers! keep us posted! and good luck man, Ill give you a call saturday night, and see how you did..

Hey guys, im heading out first thing tomorrow to my buddies place. will be away from all weekend , so if i get anything ill try to get on somewhere ,and update you guys, and then post pics first thing when I get home sunday night, I AM SOO EXCITED!
