Hope it heals fast !! That would bite during hunting season. I've twisted a knee before but still went. Course I don't have to climb trees. Just found a decent spot not far from the truck and gimped my way out there. Best of luck with the ankle. Let us knowhow it goes for you.

Well the weekend is over and it is time for me to go back to work. [:'(] It might be a few weeks before I get back out hunting with harvest.
The area I was hunting has some good bucks in it.6 of the 11 bucks I have seen so far huntinggross over 125 with the biggest being in the 150 range ( the one I missed earlier ). So far 2 are mature bucks ( at least 4.5 years old ). The other maturebuck goes in the 140 - 145 range. Interesting spot to say the least. A toughy to groundhunt with all the sloughs and hugecorn fields.
Good luck to anyone hunting. Good luck to the guys that are still waiting for bow season to open. Heal fast Toby. I'll be on late at night to check on you all.

No worries Jim...I wouldn't call delivering bad news thunder anyway bud. The whole thing sucks to say the least, but I'm hoping it continues to get better. It was more a dull ache all day than anything today, but I still can't really put any pressure on it. It is a lovely black and purple color though![:@]
I took Kim out this evening to hunt, and she saw once nice doe but couldn't get a shot. I stayed in the truck to glass one of the smaller bean fields, and I got the show of my life. About an hour before shooting hours ended I saw a nice buck enter the field and then another, and THEN a giant walked out. I think he might be the largest deer I've ever seen in my life. All total there were 6 bucks in the field and all of them were 130 or better. I did learn a new place to look to placing a stand though...lol I guess some good came out of the injury anyway.
Tim...I HAVE tried walking it off, and I've tried to ignore it....it's just not working this time!
